Cancer memorial at Westminster Cathedral
A charity will hold a special memorial to remember those lost to cancer.
On Christmas Eve, candles will be lit in remembrance of loved ones at Westminster Cathedral, in Francis Street.
The candles will be burned until the Twelfth Night, as part of the Candle of Hope appeal organised by World Cancer Research Fund (WCRF).
The Candle of Hope appeal is being organised by World Cancer Research Fund.
The appeal will raise funds towards WCRF's cancer prevention work.
Teresa Nightingale, Head of Fundraising at WCRF, said: "It's not far from Christmas now and we hope that many local people come to see the candle and remember those lost to cancer.
"As well as the candle acting as a tribute, the appeal also offers hope - by raising money for our research and education programmes, people can make a positive contribution to preventing cases of cancer in the future."
To find out more about Candle of Hope or donate, visit www.wcrf-uk.org/candle. To make a telephone donation, call 0800 970 1461.
As part of this special appeal the name of your loved one can also be entered into our Book of Remembrance, which is held at our London office.
We'd like to hear from you. Send your stories, pics and videos
