New dance school opens in Pimlico
A dance teacher is hoping to find world champions by setting up a school in Pimlico.
The dance school, which will teach disco, jazz, hip hop, ballroom and Latin American dancing, opens up at Pimlico Academy, in Lupus Street, from February 3.
Dance teacher Aleksandra Wiecka believes there are many talented young dancers in the area looking for somewhere to train.
She said: "I'm hoping to be able to take teams of young people to enter competitions abroad, from European championships to world competitions, including one that's going to be held this year in Poland.
"As I started dancing, I got to know so many people all around the world as I took part in more competitions, which was very exciting."
Ms Wiecka added that free dance classes would be offered on February 4 and 5, from 6pm-9pm, to encourage more people to get involved.
Classes will be offered from 6pm-9pm, on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
