Westminster motorbike demonstration planned

Bikers are due to hold a demonstration against parking charges introduced in Westminster.

At 5.45pm on July 1, the motorbikers will meet at Golden Square in Soho, to protest against daily charges of £1 introduced by Westminster Council.

A trial scheme was initially held with charges set at £1.50 per day, or £150 for an annual permit, but these have been brought down to £1 and £100 respectively.
