Free tickets to West End shows
Hundreds of pensioners across Westminster are being given the opportunity to see a top West End show for free.
Tickets to attend performance of Les Miserables and The Phantom of the Opera in November are on offer, on a first come first served basis.
The theatre visits have been organised on behalf of Cllr Christabel Flight, Westminster's Older People's Champion, and has been made possible by the generosity of West End producer Sir Cameron Mackintosh, who donated the tickets.
A total of 1,000 tickets will be made available for Westminster residents over the age of 65.
To secure a ticket, call Westminster Council's senior passport line on 020 7641 1444 by 5.30pm on Friday, August 14.
Names will be entered into a prize draw and winners will be picked at random.
The Phantom of the Opera visit will take place on November 3 at 2.30pm, at Her Majesty's Theatre, Haymarket, and Les Miserables tickets will apply to a show on November 18 at 2.30pm, at The Queen's Theatre, Shaftesbury Avenue, both in the West End.
