Two men tried to rob a woman in Pimlico, in front of her two-year-old child.

The two men pinned the woman to the floor outside Vincent Mansions, in Vincent Square, and tried to remove her jewellery.

The woman, who is in her 40s, was left shaken by the attack, which took place at around 4pm on June 24.

Neither she nor her child was harmed.

The men were described as black, around 6ft tall, aged between 16 and 20, and both were wearing black baseball caps.

One was wearing a dark shell suit top and bottoms, the other a light grey-coloured track suit.

Detective Constable Steve Machin, of Westminster Robbery Squad, said: "The incident happened at four in the afternoon, a time when the area was busy.

"We are appealing to anyone who was in the area and may have seen anything to contact police."

Anyone with any information should contact Westminster Police on 0207 321 7650 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
