Abbey to represent Westminster

Westminster Abbey has been chosen to feature on a special set of pin badges celebrating the London 2012 Olympic Games.

The historic towers were chosen by residents as the image representing the borough of Westminster on the Landmark London pin badges, which will form part of a collection with winning landmarks from all 33 London boroughs.

The other landmarks shortlisted for the Westminster badge were the Royal Albert Hall and the Eros statue in Piccadilly Circus.

The badges will go on sale next year.
