Deadline looms for civic award nominations
The deadline for nominations for Westminster's civic community awards is Tuesday January 31.
The borough is full of people and organisations who dedicate their time to helping the community, and Westminster Council is looking for those who deserve to be honoured for their work and win a prize of £500.
There are several categories, including working with young people, with older people, improving Westminster, inspirational person of the year, young person of the year and partnership of the year.
Nomination forms are available from libraries, leisure centres and estate offices, or an online form can be used by visiting www.westminster.gov.uk.
Winners in each category will be chosen by independent judges and announced at a ceremony in March, with each winner getting £500 as well as a trophy and a certificate.
